Welcome

We are so glad you stopped by to visit us online. Please browse our website to learn more about Widows Empowered Strengthened and I, Inc. (W.E.S. and I, Inc.). And when you’re ready, feel free to call or stop by one of our regularly scheduled meetings. We’d love to meet you in person and spend some time showing you some sisterly love. As a surviving spouse, widow, many of us have been where you are and we look forward to helping you heal during this difficult journey.

The women involved in W.E.S. and I, Inc. meet every 3rd Saturday of the month, from 1 – 3 p.m., typically at the Reynolds Corners Branch Library (4833 Dorr St, Toledo, OH 43615), just east of Reynolds Road.

During our meetings, we spend time getting to know each other by engaging in “icebreakers” and other fun activities, while enjoying refreshments and planning group outings (like bowling, museum visits, dinner, movies, cookouts) and discussing volunteer opportunities. Sometimes we have guest speakers and others who stop by to enlighten us.

There is no fee to participate. The atmosphere is fun, light-hearted and diverse. We have women from many different backgrounds, ages, ethnicity, and races.

During our meetings, we also share various information and local resources that may be useful to our widows. We connect and embrace each other in a friendly and personal way.

We know first hand the pain of losing someone you love, particularly a spouse. The grief is immeasurable. That’s why we’re here to support one another as we go through the process.

If you, like many of us, are searching for some type of support through grief, then look no further. We are here to help you through. We are a sisterhood that loves, educates, and empowers widows through hard times, and we do it together.
